Agios Filon

Agios Filon had become one of our highlight during this traveling.Heading from Cantara Castle, we tried to follow the map in Lonely Planet and signboards on the road. We also asked several people on the road. But, we got lost.
We took the wrong left turn, drove along the dark mountain and coast line, only to find we went back to the road we had passed. I recognized from the building and surrounding.
We decided to go to nearby city, called Mehmetcik. We were hungry and I was tired driving, so I decided to give up going to Agios Filon that night.
We stopped by to a restaurant, ate delicious Adana Kebab, and tried to find a place to stay that night in the town. There were only 2 options to stay, a guest house and a 3 stars hotel. The restaurant guy took us to the guest house, and was told the price was TL 60. We decided to look at the hotel first since Gunduz didn't like the guest house. The hotel was clean and good, but the price was TL 85 per person, with breakfast and internet. Gunduz was into the hotel, but I objected, since the cost was too expensive. So I drove back to the guest house to check again, only to find out the guest house price was TL 60 per person, not per room.
Confused, I parked the car in the restaurant, and asking people inside the restaurant advice how to go to Agios Filon, since I was into driving again to Agios Filon after dissappointed with the accommodation choice in the little town.
People in the restaurant adviced me not to go that night, since it would take 1.5 hours and the road was dark they said.
However, I determined myself to drive all the way after calling the hotel in Agios Filon, asking direction and being told that it was only 45 minutes drive, and the room cost there was TL 75 per room with breakfast.
We stopped by to the gasoline stand we already passed before, asking direction again to the kind staff.
This time we made sure we didn't take the wrong left turn, and going straight toward a city called Dipkarpaz. Finally after less than an hour drive, we arrived in Dipkarpaz and the hotel staff picked up and leaded us to the correct way to the hotel.
We were amazed when we arrived in the hotel, Oasis at Ayfilon, the name of the hotel, highly recommended by Lonely Planet.
The hotel was so closed to the sea, and an ancient church just in front of the hotel.
The hotel manager welcomed us, and the staff leaded us to our room.
The room was clean, and just in front of the sea, we could hear the wave.
I took hot shower and had a good sleep in the sound of sea wave that night.
I woke up early the next morning, and had a nice morning walk to the church and to the beach, seeing some locals fishing.
We ate a good breakfast and left the hotel about 11am.
Really nice short stay.
